These are some sketches of Mean Green that I've done in preparation for a painting I'm working on. This little exercise came about because of a blog asking readers opinions on whither the Hulk from the first or the second movie looks best[link] Many valid points where brought up. I commented that the more recent renderings (over the past 20 yrs) of the Hulk kind of strayed from the original creators vision (IMHO). Having said that, I know that as time progresses we've become more advanced and stylized in our methods and that brings about change and change is fine. My goal in doing this painting is to try and modernize the more classic idea of the Hulk. I'm no professional comic book artist, just a big fan of the comics, cartoons, and live action adaptations we've all grown up on.
